Pat-B,
Having finished his radiation treatments, my brother's attitude is similar to your own. You are writing, he is painting. And, like yourself, his sense of humour is intact. I salute you both.

Sometimes it's best not to know all the gory details! But a positive attitude is important, and you have that in spades! I shudder at the thought of having to write 50,000 words in 29 days - I don't know how you do it...

Congratulations & Jubilations Pat. I like the nonchalant 'now that I've written 50,000 words in 29 days....' What an enormous achievement. What are you going to do now? You don't even need to worry about losing weight.

Pat_B, I love the way that you write about such a serious matter. You don't exactly make light of the matter, but you do make it easier to read and think about such things. I think it is wonderful that you whipped NaNoWrMo at the same time that you were going through all that treatment stuff. You are quite a go-getter and a wonderful example for all would-be writers.
