RSM, I'm not after any victory
And considering that I 'bash' other's beliefs far
less than you and many other believers here on Blogit do, you only show yourself
to be truly hypocritical in this. You have far less respect for other people's
beliefs than I do. And this is greatly shown by your comments here, since this
post is clearly NOT bashing anyone's beliefs, just explaining my
own
I've not posted daily in this category for some
time now. You might want to go and check your facts before you make such
ignorant statements. After all, as I said before just because you can claim
something does not make it true. And since most of what you say is the highest
level of BS I have ever seen, it is going to rarely, if ever, be
true.
You clearly know nothing and are hate filled and
ignorant, most likely sacred of a reality that you are too weak of mind to
handle, so you come and try to put down anyone for not having the same beliefs,
both religious and political, as you have. All one needs to do is look at your
attitude compared to mine and it becomes clear who is really attacking who in
all of this. This blog was not an attack against anyone, and yet you attack me
and my beliefs very aggressively just because I expressed them.

Sonshine
You're new here, so I'll go easy on you, because
you've not seen all that goes on here.
First off I write this blog to present questions
and observations about religious ideas in an attempt to better understand
humanity as a whole. Since religious beliefs of one manner or another are a
constant in all cultures, figuring out why people believe as they do is
important in figuring out people in general. I may at times be rather direct,
but I find that is the best way to get attention. While rarely do I get good
answers, I have gotten a great insight into people with this blog.
And I do very much care about other's beliefs and
do all I can to show respect in general for people's religious beliefs. I
rarely see believers show as much (If any) respect towards my beliefs as I show
for theirs. Unlike believers who make ignorant generalized statements that show
no respect towards atheists, such as all atheists are 'immoral' or that you can
not trust any atheists, I make sure I avoid generalizations or making blanket
statements about the group as a whole.
Yes, I use the word BS a lot, although I used it
more when I changed the name of this blog than I do now. BS is direct opinion
that attracts attention. What it mostly does is emphases my opinion in a manner
that is not a direct insult towards anyone.
I have no desire to take the Bible verse by
verse. It would be pointless. The verses that are clearly fairy tales would
still be matter of blind faith, the verses that are clearly wrong would still be
defended by believers just as republicans blindly defend Bush and pretend all
his mistakes somehow don't count, and the few verse that actually have some
level of truth to them will be used by the believers to pretend that all the
rest of the book must be equally true.

Re: To each his own
Incredible comment! However, sonshine3 16, you must remember that liberals are like this and they think they know it all. Our beliefs do not matter but they will be quick to tell you how caring and all inclusive they are, ha! Liberalism, atheism either way are cancer and wrong!

Re: RSM, no one is 'officiating' it
With you being an atheist, what is your victory? What is the victory that you so desire in constantly bashing others beliefs? What is it? So if I take your BS as the truth and when we all die we just simply rot or as you have said become some type of cosmic space dust then what have you acheived in your attacks? NOTHING! ZIP! NADA! Which brings me to believe you are simply having a problem of some sort. How does this topic consume someone so much? I occasionally comment on your blogs and gomedomes' as well but you two post daily about your obvious obsession to disapprove God. You see, I know what it is! You know the truth, otherwise why would you be so bent to try to contaminate others? Why eles would anyone blog daily about the same issue?
I will be glad to remind you that in the end, you unfortunately lose. That is a shame! You are fighting it the same as the devil apparently! The devil knows the end will not be kind to him. I am a Christian and I do not blog about this daily like you do. Then again I would be worried too if I was an atheist. Afterall, a life spent praising the Lord versus a life spent praising nothing......

To each his own
If you don't care about others beliefs, why do you have this blog to rail on believers in God. You are perfectly within your rights to believe whatever you wish, but so are the rest of us. You may not believe in God now but there will be a day that you may very well wished you had. One question, you said that you will use the word BS a lot, what is that suppose to prove? When a person is sure without any doubt that are RIGHT, s/he does not have to put others done to make a point. How about if you take 2009 to read, study, and disprove the bible verse by verse? Now that could be very interesting. Just a thought!

RSM, no one is 'officiating' it
I can call your beliefs BS, just as you openly call
mine BS. You have next to no proof that you are correct, so I will say that God
and the Bible are BS and be just are correct as you saying they are not. Notice
I do not say it is not true, just that saying it does not make it
true.
And it does make a lot of sense that atheism is
growing and it has nothing to do with the BS biblical ideas of 'The Book of Revelations'. With the general
population of the world being better educated and with the greater availability
of knowledge that is out there, more and more people are going to question the
poorly conceived religious ideas that get pushed on them. It becomes easier and
easier to see the flaws in the Bible and a belief in God the more educated one
becomes and the more information one has. Not to say that all well educated and
knowledgeable people are going to feel this way, it is just that it has been
shown the more educated and knowledge able one is the less likely they are to
believe in the fantasy of God.

Re: Wow RITE
Atheism is the fastest growing religion in the world, did you know that? Apparently it is not dark to many people out there.
This is expected and is not really news. The world must be this way. The Book of Revelations will occur so thus there is no shock that atheism is the fastest growing religion in the world.
However, I must ask a question. Who's is officiating all of this? Who is the official? You stated "But you can cling to your BS all you want, it does not make it any more true." So who decides this? We certainly can not take your word for it because that would be the same as you having to take our that God lives and that would nopt be right to you, correct? So who is the judge?
